Job Summary:
As a Solr CloudOps engineer you need Designing, configuring, and maintaining Apache Solr instances to ensure optimal performance and scalability, Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Solr indexing, search, and performance, Developing custom search queries, filters, and facets to enhance search capabilities and user experience.
Technical Job Requirements:
Cloud Platform Knowledge: Strong expertise in GCP or Any Cloud.

Scripting and Programming: Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Bash, or PowerShell.
Solr Installation and Configuration:
- Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Solr instances in a cloud environment.
- Set up Solr instance, configure replication, and manage schema definitions.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor the performance of Solr instance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize Solr configurations and query parameters to ensure efficient and fast search performance.
- Use monitoring tools to track key metrics and make data-driven decisions for performance improvements.
Security and Access Control:
- Handle security-related tasks such as securing Solr endpoints, configuring authentication and authorization mechanisms, and managing user access control to ensure data privacy and protect against unauthorized access.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- When issues arise, investigate and troubleshoot problems related to Solr performance, indexing, and search functionality.
- They collaborate with development teams and other stakeholders to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and system administrators, to gather requirements, provide technical support, and share knowledge.
- Maintain documentation related to Solr configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting guides.
