Job Title: CloudOps Engineer
Job Summary: As a CloudOps Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable and reliable systems. You will collaborate with development teams to ensure that applications are designed with reliability and performance in mind. Your primary focus will be on automation, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning to achieve high availability and optimal performance on GCP.
Job Title: CloudOps Engineer – L1 Support
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CloudOps Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our SaaS-based ECommerce platform’s infrastructure and ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain robust and scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Manage and optimize containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in GKE clusters
- Configure and maintain GCP networking components, including VPCs, Cloud Routers, Cloud NAT, VPC Peering, VPN, and PSC
- Implement and manage security measures using GCP Cloud Armor, VPC Firewall rules, and IAM
- Ensure high availability and performance of database systems, including Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
- Monitor and maintain Java-based applications
- Implement and manage load balancing solutions using Google Load Balancers
- Optimize cloud storage solutions and data transfer processes
- Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning
- Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using Site24x7
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems
- Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability and performance
- Automate operations and infrastructure management tasks
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in CloudOps or DevOps roles
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services and best practices
- Proficiency in managing Linux systems, particularly Ubuntu and Rocky Linux
- Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and GCP networking components
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform, Chef, Ansible)
- Experience with APM/monitoring tools, preferably Site24x7
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Experience with log management and analysis tools
