Easy to implement and use, the Profit Margin Calculator automatically adjusts product pricing for quotes based on gross product margins your sales associates can change.
Once the feature is activated, the Profit Margin Calculator enables your store associates to adjust the gross margins for products when building customer project quotes. Here’s how it works:
1. Go to the product on your CX1 Showroom site: Once logged in to your site, the sales associate finds the product for the project quote and clicks on the “Custom Add to Project” icon.
2. Adjust the Gross Margin: The Profit Margin Calculator window that appears provides pricing details for the product, including Gross Margin %. In this column, your sales associate can adjust the percentage to reflect a larger or smaller margin for the project price.
When the gross margin percentage is changed, the adjusted price is automatically recalculated and displayed.
If, for example, you are purchasing the product from another distributor and the cost price is different than listed, the sales associate can adjust the price in the Profit Margin Calculator and the tool will once again recalculate the gross margin and project price.
3. Add the product to the quote: Once the gross margin is adjusted and the new project price appears, the sales associate can add the item to the project quote for the customer. It’s just that easy!
