Unilog is among the recipients of valuable state and regional programs and economic incentives geared toward emerging growth companies
WAYNE, Pa. (April 23, 2015) – A few years ago, Unilog brought its India-based global technology company to Wayne, Pa. in order to support its growth in the U.S. Unilog’s President Suchit Bachalli said, “The abundance of state and regional programs and economic incentives that are available to emerging growth companies like ours make Greater Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania ideal destinations for startups.”
For instance, as a member of the Chester County Economic Development Council’s Ideas X Innovation Network (i2n), Unilog recently received a large tax credit through the Keystone Innovation Zone tax credit program. Unilog was one of 200 Pennsylvania companies to receive tax credits, totaling more than $17 million.
The tax credit that Unilog has received will allow the company to accelerate its technology development and support its overall expansions, which includes bringing more technology jobs to the region. Since opening its Wayne, Pa. office, Unilog has created20new jobs in the Greater Philadelphia region.
In addition, i2n helped Unilog finds its office space at the Evolve IP Business Park, which offers startups low-cost and highly flexible facilities, including professional office space, redundant high-speed gigabit fiber Internet access, cloud computing services, and more.
Bachalli said that the close knit professional network he found when arriving to Philadelphia has been invaluable to building his company in the U.S. “i2n helped us get our office space and even introduced us to our lawyer and CPA. We didn’t have to figure everything out for ourselves. We had allies behind us every step of the way.”
