With the country music capital of the world as its stage, Unilog’s fourth annual CIMM2 Users Group Meeting in Nashville hit all the right notes for attendees who came to listen to eCommerce experts, chat with fellow colleagues and learn from Unilog’s subject-matter experts on how to get the most out of their CIMM2-powered platform.
Nashville-style kick-off
More than 150 professionals attended this year’s E-VOLVE conference, which kicked off with a welcome reception featuring entertainment by country singer/songwriter David Pahanish, who has composed a host of number-one Billboard music singles. While attendees rocked to Pahanish’s tunes, they had a chance to meet new CIMM2 users and catch up with familiar colleagues and Unilog staff.
B2B experts raise the roof
The two-day meeting featured a variety of in-depth training sessions, panel discussions and presentations by an array of B2B commerce authorities, including:
- Dean Mueller and Jonathan Bein from Real Results Marketing
- Justin King and Stephan Newenhisen from B2X Partners
- Andy Hoar, CEO at Paradigm B2B and former Vice President & Principal Analyst at Forrester
- Chris Boggs, SEO Marketing Consultant & Coach, and founder of Web Traffic Advisors
- Mike Powers, eCommerce Manager at Hill & Markes
- Unilog executives and resident CIMM2 experts
Unilog CEO Suchit Bachalli opened the meeting with his perspective on the future of B2B eCommerce, and discussed Unilog’s strategies to help users compete against monster online distributors like Amazon and Grainger. With SEO playing a large part in getting buyers to their sites, consultant Chris Boggs weighed in on the key steps distributors need to take to increase their share of SERP.
To help CIMM2 users continue to improve the customer experience, Real Results Marketing provided a snapshot of the current B2B buyer and shopping trends, and presented effective in-bound and outbound digital marketing strategies. In addition, B2X Partners introduced attendees to customer journey mapping so that they could see the insight gained by visually representing every experience their customers have with their business.
Great dialog and valuable learnings also came out of E-VOLVE’s customer-led panel discussion. Shawn Arnold from Turner Supply, Roger Moore from City Plumbing & Electric Supply and Don Preston of Macomb Group shared their insight on the CIMM2 platform and the B2B marketplace, providing useful advice for both new and intermediate users.
Additional high notes
Former NBA All-Star and Unilog special guest, Mark Eaton, struck a chord with attendees as well. He revealed the important lessons he learned from competitive sports and how he applied those lessons to the business world to become a successful entrepreneur, motivational speaker and author.
Afterwards, Unilog topped off the conference by giving away a three-day, two-night trip for two to Los Angeles to attend the star-studded ESPY awards. Brandon Smith of GSG was the lucky winner who gets to see some of the country’s best athletes live and in person.
Unilog would like to thank the sponsors who helped make E-VOLVE 2018 a great success this year. In addition to returning sponsors Affiliated Distributors, Conexiom, Avalara, WebPresented and IDEA, two new sponsors, MITS and Moblico, joined the event. Together, these partners made the “Tech Zone” a popular gathering spot where attendees could learn about the latest products and services to help boost their e-business.
