Earlier this week, we made the trip to Orlando, FL for the first-ever CIMM2 Users Group Meeting! From February 8th to 10th, over 60 people representing 26 different companies gathered at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek to talk about eCommerce trends for 2015, new CIMM2 functionality, and how Unilog is disrupting the B2B industry.

The entire event was split into two tracks, one that focused on Marketing & Content for B2B eCommerce and the other on CIMM2 Functionality & Best Practices. Company partners and customers of all different backgrounds came together to spread ideas, ask questions, and share insights.
On the first night, Unilog hosted a Welcome Reception for those who had checked into the hotel early. Everyone spent the evening enjoying passed hors d’oeuvres, libations, and great conversation with some new and some familiar faces! The room overlooked the hotel pool and grounds, with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot in the distance. We were even fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of some fireworks!

The next morning was the start of a day filled with TONS of content. President, Suchit Bachalli and Senior Vice President, Joe Bennett kicked off the day during the Opening Session with the story of Unilog and how grateful we are to have such an amazing customer base. As Joe stated, the three stakeholders of our business are “The Customer, The Co-Worker, and The Shareholder – in that order”.

After a short break, the group then split into their two tracks where throughout the day we covered everything from new CIMM2 functionality, search functions, taxonomy and product content, distribution trends, UI/UX design, and social media. To close the first day, all attendees gathered in the Ballroom to form their own communities within the user group as a forum to discuss common issues and the like.

The second day of the user group was a half-day, covering details on current Unilog support, the future of support, hosting infrastructure, and the internet-of-things. The final session of the users group included a Q&A panel. Those featured on the panel were: Joanna Milliken from Monetate, Rick Erickson from Agosto, Dean Mueller from Real Results Marketing, and Edward Amaral from Amaral Creative.
The CIMM2 Users Group Meeting turned out to be such a success, and we could not have done it without all of our wonderful customers who were in attendance. We are so excited to start planning for next year already!
We would like to thank: Agosto, Amaral Creative, B&K Electric, Cascade Nut and Bolt, Engman-Taylor Company, IDEA, Kriz-Davis, Marks Supply, Mayer Electric Supply, McNaughton-McKay, Meetings Unlimited, Monetate, N Glantz & Son, Norco, Real Results Marketing, Shamrock Supply Company, Southern Pipe & Supply Company, State Electric Supply Company, supplyFORCE, The Macomb Group, The Reynolds Company, Torrco, Van Meter Industrial, Villa Lighting, Weingartz, Werner Electric Supply, and the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek for hosting us!
Fun Fact: The Unilog staff spent Monday night at I-Drive NASCAR for a team-building event! We raced go-carts in two separate heats, followed by dinner and drinks. It was just what we needed to relax after a successful first day of CUG2015.
